Community management for BARCA
For more than seven months, we helped build a community of people passionate about architecture.
On the exciting journey of building a community passionate about architecture and its impact in Central America, we had the honour of working with the team behind the first Central American Architecture Biennial, BARCA, for more than seven months. The experience showed us that promoting 21st-century architecture goes beyond physical structures: it is a commitment to local and global transformation and a return to the post-pandemic ‘new normal’ with a sustainable, resilient, holistic, collaborative and universally accessible perspective.

The Central American Architecture Biennial is a joint initiative with the Federación Centroamericana de Arquitectos (FCA), backed by the Federación Panamericana de Asociaciones de Arquitectos (FPAA) and the Unión Internacional de Arquitectos (UIA).
21st-century architecture must represent a renewed commitment on a local and planetary scale: an alternative return to the post-pandemic new normal, incorporating a sustainable, resilient, holistic, collaborative and universally accessible vision into aesthetic, spatial and construction analysis. Our discipline is part of a system, sharing responsibility for the city, nature, the beauty of a place, and the wellbeing of individuals and their communities.
